HISTORY

The production of the Delta series of Lancia starts on 1979, being Car of the year in Italy in 1980. Four years later Lancia unveils his first 4WD prototype with a Turbo 1.6-liter motor developing 130HP.

In 1987 is presented The Delta 4WD with a 2-liter & 8 valve motor with 165HP, which remains in production until 1988, when the new Delta HF  Integrale is born with the same motor with upgraded power to 185HP (only 180HP for the Cat version). In 1990 the new Delta HF Integrale 16v is born with a new 16v camhead with whom power increased to 200HP.

Next at the end of 1991 is born the Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione with 210HP (only180HP & 8 valves for the Cat version). In 1993 a further evolution is the Delta HF Integrale Evo II with a clean 16V motor & 215HP. From this cars there were produced some limited editon models.

LIMITED EDITIONS

 

Delta HF Integrale 5

First limited edition was being sold in 27th Jan 1992 with intention to celebrate the 5th consecutive Lancia world rally championship win with Delta Models. Only 400 models were built with white body colour,  grills on the bonnet a black rear spoiler, white wheels, and lateral Martini stripes, red belts, two Recaro seats in black Alcantara , and a numbered plaque near the gear lever, Clarion autoradio, Gemini alarm, air conditioned. ABS and Michelin 205/50 ZR 15 tyres.

 

Delta Verde York

In 10th July 1992 after the commercial success of Martini 5, a new version with a special York Green  body was released. With Recaro seats and beige colour leather interiors with green sewns, HF logo at the headlyers, numered plaque near the gear lever, and very well equipped. 500 of these cars were produced

 

Delta  HF Integrale 6

When Lancia won its 6th World Rally Championship released this conmemorative version. White body and white wheels, lateral badges the same as the race car, and many other badges with "HF" logo,  "Martini Racing", "Lancia", "integrale", air conditioned, ABS, Recaro blue alcantara seats, red seat belts, carbon fibre near the gear lever, Momo leather stearing wheel,racing gearshift, teflon bushes, autoradio Clarion & Michelin 205/50ZR15 tyres. 310 of these cars were produced between 1992-1993.

 

Delta HF Integrale Club Italia

In 1993 Club Italia had specially made for them a special series of 15 Deltas with dark blue colour (Lord Blue). They were Evolution I cars. It had the Club's Logo badges on the rear spoiler and on the bonnet front edge and in both front wings. Had push button starting. Red leather Recaro seats, racce-type petrol-feeder , cam cover painted in yellow with a blue center stripe. A limited edition badge near the gear lever and an engraved plaque with the name of  the original owner.

 

Delta Bianco Perlato

In 1993-1994 were built 385 Evolution II cars with body in Pearl White and a Grey coachline. With an edition plaque below the gear lever and Blue leather interior.

 

Delta Blù Lagos

In 1993-1994 were built 215 Evolution II cars with body in metallic Lagos Blue and a Yellow coachline. With an edition plaque below the gear lever and Creme leather interior.

 

Delta Giallo

A special serie of 220 cars, 150 of which were for Italian domestic market, an another 20 went to France. This serie was released on november 1993. Has Black Recaro seats in alcantara yellow sewn, 6 captor ABS, air conditioned,   16" wheels and 205/45ZR16 tyres.

 

Delta Dealer's Collection

This was a serie served only by orders done. Only 177 cars produced, 143 for Italian dealers and 34 for foreign dealers. The card near the gearshift not only has the consecutive number but also the name of the buyer. Candy Red colour. Beige leather Recaro seats, instrumentation with white background . Aluminium racing pedals.   Engine pushbutton starter in a middle of an aluminum plate. Navigator foot rest in aluminium.

 

Delta Edizione Finale

At the same time of Dealer's was this series released to the Japanese market. Candy Red  body with a dorsal yellow/blue line like the one of the 60´s/70´s Fulvia HF. Only 250 cars were produced. The near gearshift plate had the number and "Edizione Finale" written on it.

 

Delta Evoluzione Cabrio

There were only 2 exemplars of these (one for Fiat boss Giovanni Agnelli) with a  more powered motor (near 250HP)
